MSXMakers

MSXMakers comes back using the big door with a lot of MSX hardware.

This time in their booth they will be showing very intersting projects:

  • F18A: An FPGA replacement for the video chips  TMS9918, TMS9928, TMS9919, TMS9929, TMS9118 y TMS9128. The board could substitute the original chip for any MSX1 in case of having enough space to host it. It nulls the original vidoe output but provides native VGA instead. Moreover, it adds more vidoe memory, 80 column mode, 32 sprites in screen and when there are 5 sprites they will not blink.
  • A Z80 turbo board: This board adds a turbo mode for our MSX (with a complex installation).
  • Microsol CDX-2: a new floppy drive controller for MSX. Being fast, it allows to load games like Nemesis 1 with only 64KB of RAM.
  • An Expert 4 turbo, another of the computers built by MSXMakers.
